L'Amandière

There are places where time seems to stop, places where you can just take your time and enjoy nature’s most beautiful and colourful displays. When you arrive at the Amandière, your first impression is: plenitude. The house and its 5 hectares of grounds will allow you to forget that only 15 minutes away lies the bustling city of Avignon and it’s only a short drive to the Alpilles. Yet this lovely and lovingly restored residence has all the facilities you could want.

Let’s begin the visit....

The ground floor opens onto the garden and terraces with:

• A warm and welcoming kitchen with a large family table and a small comfortable living area;
• A living room with TV and DVD reader, plus a toilet;
• A study with a lovely view over the garden, a calm place to work (Internet WIFI connection);
• A large living room or summer room in the house’s west wing, fitted with sofas and armchairs, while a wide bay window offers beautiful views;
• A bedroom with twin beds offering a good night’s sleep in a relaxing ambiance;
• An en suite bathroom decorated with antique charm: old-fashioned bath and basin bathed in a soft gentle light.

On the first floor are three more bedrooms: 

• A large bedroom with open beams, furnished with a magnificent wardrobe, queen-sized bed, and en suite bathroom with shower; 
• Another large bedroom with open beams, twin beds and en suite shower room;
• A master bedroom with high ceiling and open beams, queen-sized bed, and a large bathroom with old-fashioned bath, shower and toilet; All these rooms face south and have a splendid view of the garden and the property’s almond trees.
  

The park covering 5 hectares is filled with typical Provencal trees and plants with their haunting perfumes: lavender fields to the east, almond trees to the south, swimming pool to the west, and everywhere there are bay trees and santolinas.

• A pretty fully-equipped summer kitchen near the swimming pool, very useful in hot summers;
• The swimming pool protected by a rolling cover and equipped with deck chairs and parasols;
• Dining table and barbecue, together with garden furniture.

ADDITIONAL SERVICES: 

• A janitor living on the premises carries out maintenance on the house;
• Regular garden and pool maintenance; 
• Cleaning 6 hours a week;
• Sheets and bath towels provided (beach towels not available);
• Cleaning on departure obligatory (€160)
• Baby sitter, cooking classes, cook available on request.
